The Rescue Strop is used to hoist uninjured Military personnel during helicopter operations.  The Strop is placed under the arms and across the back; the safety strap located on the outside is pulled loose, placed over the arms, under the front of the Strop and attached across the front of the chest and adjusted to a snug fit.  The arms must remain down to prevent possible slippage during hoisting.  Pictorials are printed on the Strop.  Personnel must be trained in the proper and safe use of this item.  The Rescue Strop is designed to be unaffected by repeated use in the marine environment; constructed of nylon, closed-cell foam and stainless steel hardware. Restricted to military use by trained personnel only.  NSN 1680-01-347-4946.
