The next generation Helicopter Emergency Egress Device 3 (HEED 3) is an updated version of the original HEED and is designed to enhance the survivability of military and other aircrew personnel in short-term out-of-air emergencies.  Compact, lightweight, and reliable self contained breathing apparatus measures 8¾" long with 2¼" diameter and weighs only 1.51 lbs full.  The HEED 3 mounts easily and comfortably in LSC's #489 Pro Vest.  An optional holsteris available that utilizes MOLLE type attachment straps to permit integration with modular vest systems, including LSC’s #745-M Osprey MOLLE Vest and #745-MH Osprey MOLLE Vest/Harness.

The self-contained, 3000 psi, 1.7 cubic foot bottle provides approximately 20-30 breaths at the surface to give a user additional time to exit a submerged aircraft.  Includes a dial pressure gauge indicator, high visibility yellow mouthpiece cover.  Available in either soft or hard purge button cover designs.  Can be refilled from a scuba tank or at any dive shop with adapters.
